THE FULL CELEBRATION PROGRAMME

SUNDAY 28th JULY, Arrival & Reception Day

A limited number of 'Concours / Golf Overnight Packages' are available for those Concours entrants or Golf enthusiasts who wish to travel to Wokefield on Sunday in readiness for a relaxed start on Monday. The package (from £95 per person) includes:

  • Champagne reception and buffet dinner on Sunday evening
  • Accommodation at Wokefield Park on Sunday night (including buffet breakfast)
  • Free entry to the Concours d'Elegance competition on Monday
  • Buffet lunch on Monday

Participation in the Golf Challenge will be subject to an additional charge (£20 per person) to cover green fees, etc. Golf equipment will also be available for hire by private arrangement with the golf club.

Alternatively, for those who would prefer to make their own arrangements for accommodation and meals, the club is able to provide lists of hotels which are conveniently situated in the local area.

MONDAY 29th JULY, Concours & Golf Competitions Day

The Concours d'Elegance competition to be held at Wokefield Park on Monday is open to all Austin Healey Club members, including those who are not resident at Wokefield Park. The same applies to the Golf Challenge to be held during the afternoon. However, all entries to the Concours and to the Golf must be booked in advance. Entry to both competitions is open to Club members only.

The 'Concours / Golf Day Ticket' (£15 per person) provides participants with a buffet lunch and gives free entry to the Concours d'Elegance. Participation in the Golf Challenge will be subject to an additional charge (£20 per person) to cover green fees. Golf equipment hire is also available by private arrangement with the golf club.

Casual day visitors - those who simply wish to come and spectate - will be very welcome to join the party on the day. Entry to the grounds of Wokefield Park itself is free but, unfortunately, the Club will be unable to provide lunch on-site for casual visitors. Nevertheless, there is a good selection of pubs and restaurants in the immediate area.

We regret that the buffet dinner at Wokefield Park on Monday night is available to Warwick Package holders only due to a limit on numbers.

TUESDAY 30th JULY, Planned Drives

Tuesday is a rest day for the week-long participants. A number of Planned Drives will be available to guide visitors to local attractions such as Windsor Castle. Day visitors who would like to take advantage of a 'day-out' with the Club will be very welcome to collect a copy of the Planned Drives from Wokefield Park in the morning (subject to a nominal charge of £5 per car) and to join friends and enthusiasts for the day. Note that entry to various attractions at your destination is not included.

The Thames River Boat trip in the evening is available to Warwick Package holders only due to limited capacity.

WEDNESDAY 31st JULY, Prescott Hillclimb

Wednesday is Prescott Day, and a large turnout is anticipated at this popular hillclimb venue. A limited number of 'Prescott Day Tickets' are available at £25 each (car & driver) plus £10 for each passenger. Tickets provide:

  • Planned Drive from Wokefield Park to Prescott (if required)
  • Entry to Prescott Hillclimb grounds and the wonderful Bugatti Museum
  • Buffet lunch in the Prescott restaurant
  • Two drives up the hillclimb course in your Healey for 'driver' ticket holders*

* subject to availability restrictions due to weather, closures, etc. outside the Club's control.

The number of Prescott Day Tickets is strictly limited due to capacity limitations, so you are advised to book as soon as possible to avoid risk of disappointment. Demand is sure to outstrip supply.

Fortunately, however, Prescott will also be open to casual visitors - including the public - who simply wish to turn up on the day and watch the proceedings without taking an active part. Bring a picnic lunch and you can enjoy a wonderful day in Cotswold country.

The evening is free for all to make their own dinner arrangements on the journey home.

THURSDAY 1st AUGUST, Heritage Day & Inter-Centre Karting Challenge

Thursday is a recreational day for Wokefield Park residents, but a number of Planned Drives will be available to guide people to places of historic interest to Healey enthusiasts, including the likes of Abingdon, Warwick and Longbridge. Day visitors who would like to participate in these Planned Drives will be most welcome to come along on the day and buy a Heritage Day Ticket from the desk in Wokefield Park from where all drives will originate. There will be a nominal entry charge of £5 per car (there is no need to pre-book) for the Planned Drives.

Thursday afternoon is also reserved for the Inter Centre Karting Challenge to be held at Thruxton's brand new outdoor kart circuit. This event is going to be fun! Entries for the competition itself are being organised via the UK regional centres and should include representatives from many of the international Austin Healey Clubs who will be joining us for the week. Spectators will be very welcome and entry should be free.

There are no formal lunch and evening meal arrangements on Thursday; please make your own plans.

FRIDAY 2nd AUGUST, Thruxton Track Day

The Track Day at Thruxton on Friday will have all the atmosphere of a traditional Healey Day, and more! There will be displays of historic and rare Healeys, a trade village, celebrities, marque registers, a restoration show, an autotest, AHC Centre stands, plus regalia and memorabilia sales. As well as a discounted ticket price, an added 'free' bonus reserved for those who book in advance will be to drive 5 laps of Thruxton race circuit in your own Healey (but please note that other marque cars will not be permitted on the track).

The 'Thruxton One or Two Day Tickets' offer incredible value at just £14 for one day or £22 for two days (per person); these discounted prices include entry to the circuit and all static attractions plus the track driving experience (Healeys only) on Friday. Meals/refreshments are excluded, but Thruxton has catering facilities on-site.

Additional attractions at Thruxton (subject to extra cost) will hopefully include training sessions with the very excellent Ian Taylor Motor Racing School at Thruxton (recently voted the UK's 'Best Buy' circuit tuition by Auto EXPRESS magazine) plus helicopter rides and more.

The dinner at Wokefield Park on Friday evening is open to Warwick and Longbridge Package holders only.

SATURDAY 3rd AUGUST, Thruxton Race Day & Gala Dinner

Thruxton Race Day will be the first Austin Healey Club race meeting for many years, and thus a fitting tribute to the men and women who created the cars and then campaigned them so successfully in races and rallies around the world, bringing honour and distinction upon both men and machines. The Club is truly grateful to the BARC for all the assistance it has provided to make the Club's dream of a classic race day come true. So now you can - indeed must - be a part of it by buying a 'Thruxton One or Two Day Ticket' (see above).

A full programme of races is planned for Healey, Austin Healey and Jensen Healey cars, big and small, famous and not-so-famous. In addition, there will be a full supporting programme of classic sports car racing from the era, including celebrity drivers. Bring friends, family and colleagues for a great day out; the more the merrier - there's no limit on numbers at Thruxton on Friday or Saturday, and the event will be open to the general public.

A Gala Dinner will be held at Wokefield Park on Saturday evening to mark the closing of the week's event. We regret that, due to restrictions on numbers, the Gala Dinner will only be open to Warwick and Longbridge Package holders plus guests of the Club.

SUNDAY 4th AUGUST, Farewell & Departure Day

Sunday is departure day for all our visitors from home and overseas. No events are planned for Sunday.
